Leadership Music Program Absentee Policy:

Although Leadership Music encourages participants not to miss any part of a program day, it is understood that absences may be necessary due to extreme circumstances. The Leadership Music Program absentee policy was created to address these extreme circumstances. Each participant is permitted to miss a maximum of 1 regular program day or the equivalent of 12 hours due to extreme circumstances, except for Opening and Closing Retreat. No portion of Opening and Closing Retreat may be missed. Extreme circumstances are defined as unavoidable misses that may be family, job, or health related. The Leadership Music program should not be entered into without the commitment of the applicant and the applicant’s employer.

Leadership Music Cell Phone Policy:

To ensure participants are fully engaged and respectful of the process, the speakers and their classmates, all devices must be turned off all day, except for one 5-minute break, guaranteed during each program day, when devices are allowed. We recommend supervisors, co-workers, family, and friends be advised of this policy. For emergency situations, Leadership Music provides all class members with staff cell phone numbers where they may be contacted during a program day. These devices are kept on all day.

Leadership Music Program Costs:

If accepted into Leadership Music program, you will be invoiced the non-refundable tuition fee of $1,750, which is due in August and covers all costs related to the program, including meals and Friday overnight retreats.  If your participation in the program requires travel to Nashville, Leadership Music is not responsible for paying any cost related to travel, including air, hotel accommodations, or ground transportation outside of the program day. The inability to pay tuition should not discourage any applicant from applying for or accepting the invitation to join the class.  Please contact the Leadership Music office for more information regarding tuition assistance.

Post Graduation Requirements:

Upon completion of the program, it is a requirement of the graduating class to help lead and plan one program day for the next cohort.
